Maputo (MOZTIMES) – The runner-up in last year’s presidential election, Venâncio Mondlane, has denounced summary executions of his supporters amid the post-election crisis.
In a document submitted to the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) and to the Minister of the Interior, Mondlane formally lodged a complaint against what he describes as serious acts of police violence carried out by agents of the Rapid Intervention Unit (UIR – the Mozambican riot police).
