Maputo (MOZTIMES) - Mozambique has raised concerns over a global shortage of veterinary vaccines that has disrupted its nationwide livestock vaccination campaign, prompting authorities to extend the exercise and accelerate plans to produce vaccines locally.
Speaking at the opening of the National Animal Health Meeting in Maputo on Monday, the Minister of Agriculture, Roberto Albino, said supply chain constraints had delayed the arrival of vaccines needed for the country's livestock health programme.
