Maputo (MOZTIMES) - Mozambique is moving forward with plans to establish a vehicle assembly industry as part of a broader effort to modernize public transport, reduce dependence on imports and stimulate industrial development.

The initiative gained momentum on Tuesday when the Council of Ministers approved a resolution authorizing the Ministry of Transport and Logistics to launch an international public tender for the selection of a private partner under a public-private partnership arrangement.
