- EU describes the presence of Rwandan troops in Cabo Delgado as a "necessary and tangible contribution to fighting the insurgency"

Maputo (MOZTIMES)—In response to emailed queries, Jennifer Sanchez da Silva, the press officer for foreign affairs and security policy at the European Union (EU), said Rwanda is continuing to comply with the contractual terms governing EU funding for counter-terrorism efforts in the northern Mozambican province of Cabo Delgado.
