Nampula (MOZTIMES) - The Mozambican Minister of the Economy, Basilio Muhate, on Wednesday declared that Mozambique should position itself as an international reference point for tourism, able to attract visitors, investors and business opportunities, and transforming tourism into one of the main levers for economic development.
Speaking in the town of Rapale, in the northern province of Nampula, at the opening of the Tourism and Investment Fair, Muhate, cited by the daily paper “O Pais”, said Mozambique possesses unequalled conditions to become one of the most sought-after tourist destinations in Africa. But he warned that the existing potential must be accompanied by a solid strategy to promote the national image.
