Maputo (MOZTIMES) - Mozambique lost about 5,000 hectares of mangrove forest in 2024, mainly due to climate change, according to experts speaking at an environmental monitoring conference in Maputo.
The figures were presented at the Technical Conference on Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) and the Implementation of the National Data Management System for Mangroves and Seagrasses, which concludes in Maputo on Friday.
