Maputo (MOZTIMES) - The Mozambican Minister of Public Works, Fernando Rafael, on Thursday launched emergency work for the rehabilitation and restoration of hydraulic infrastructure in the Limpopo, Incomati, and Buzi river basins.
Budgeted at more than 990 million meticais (about 15.5 million US dollars), the contracts should be implemented within nine months. All three river basins were severely affected by the torrential rains and flooding that struck southern and central Mozambique earlier this year.
